1. Arena of Verona 

Forget about the Colosseum in Rome; Verona has its own edition, which is just as spectacular and better preserved. The front gate of the castle is very imposing and includes a set of crenelated battlements and two guard towers. Within, there is a museum dedicated to the history of the castle, which includes a multitude of artifacts and artifacts of reality. The front façade of this church is very simple and has a large central circular window and a beautiful ornate wooden door. But the interior of the Basilica is truly magnificent – the floor is covered with peach and gray tiles, the marble columns hold the arches, and the ceiling has a series of decorative tiles. The Abbey is also linked to the church with a splendid arched courtyard and a cloister. 

5. Piazza della Erbe 

Verona has a wonderful selection of charming squares, and Piazza Delle Erbe is one of the finest examples. This diamond-shaped square is located in the heart of the historic center of the city and is one of the most significant places of activity. During the Roman Empire, this square would have been the main forum for settlement. Many significant buildings line the square, including the Tower Lamberti, the Palazzo Maffeia and the Case dei Giudici. There are also a range of cafes , restaurants and restaurants. 

6. Giardino Giusti's 

The Giusti Gardens are located on the grounds of the same name palace on the eastern side of the river Adige. The wall facing the square is adorned with a huge clock face and the tower is topped with an octagonal dome conta. 

9. Cathedral of Verona 

Created in a style similar to that of the Basilica of San Zeno, the Cathedral of Verona presents a bigger, bigger and more decorative building. The front facade is similar in shape and composition, but contains much more decoration and some exquisite artwork and stained glass windows. Consecrated in 1187, the Cathedral is one of the oldest religious buildings in Verona, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Although the exterior is wonderful on its own, the interior is just as opulent and decorative. 

10. San Pietro Castle 

Strongly situated on the eastern bank of the Adige, the Castle of Saint Peter is situated on a slightly elevated hill and has been occupied since Roman times. Originally, there was a church dedicated to St. Peter, which gave the castle its name. In the 1300's, the actual castle was built as a means of fortification for the city and has been strong for more than 400 years. Although the castle is no longer open to the public, you can still stroll through its grounds, admire the magnificent architecture and enjoy stunning views of the city's historic centre.
