The Tatra Mountains serves as a natural barrier that separates Slovakia and Poland. Both states' national parks are renowned for their abundant bird life. Wild animals live here such as marmot, lynx, tatra chamois, and bear. This is highest peak of Eastern Tatra Mountains, at 2,655 m.
It will be difficult to overstate the elegance of the mountains surrounding the Carpathian Mountain range. In other to preserve the biosphere, it is important to protect this nature reserve located in Slovakia. The Slovak side has a large share of the reserve, comprising 740 square kilometres of beech and spruce trees, deep blue glacial lakes and alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers. Apart from a popular hiking and skiing destination, Tatras have a diverse animal life which includes marmots and chamois (mountain goat antelopes).

Coach Charter Germany is eligible for group travel to Tatras. Therefore, have the experience of our experts look after you and book your tour bus with the driver in our website. We can offer coaches for a multi-day trip around the Tatras. You can make use of an airport shuttle service to move you and your party from Poprad Airport to Tatras. It is great to book at our fleet of chartered buses.

Coachcharter decided to show us some of the very best things to do in the Tatras:

1. Štrbské Pleso

If you've not yet visited to the High Tatras, you will definitely make it to Štrbské Pleso. This is one of the key sights not just in my country but also abroad. Here you can do downhill skiing and cross-country hiking in the winter, while in the summer you can also go swimming and canoeing. The main car park is very magnificent at night. There's a feeling of calmness here where you are. Of course you need to do a cog-rail trip. Its construction was completed in 1890, but it is still in use.

2. Popradské Pleso

One should first visit Popradské Pleso before the High Tatras trip. You can get to the Umbrail Pass by following the route marked in red on the diagram (map). The other choice is to switch from the stop of the Tatra Electric Railway called Popradské Pleso . (map). This road is perfect for those travelling with prams or wheelchairs because it is tarmac surfaced. Please go to other locations like Ostrava, Rybník and others (but without a baby pram or bicycle).

3. Waterfall Skok

Many people can pass through the Tatras more quickly ... There are a number of waterfalls in the Tatras mountains, but one of the best is Skok waterfall. The Skok Waterfall is the third largest waterfall in the High Tatras, and is also the most abundant waterfall in Slovakia. You can see for yourself from Štrbské Pleso. It's a simple way to get to Bystrá Lávka to proceed there from Trbské Pleso. This road is just about 15 kilometers long and is within walking distance. Besides the beautiful waterfalls, attractive tarns and energy, I would recommend that you do this trip as your first one.

4. Hrebienok

Those who did not try skiing in Hrebienok would not know what joy is to have in the High Tatras. On foot or by cable car, you can get to Hrebienok in around one hour (map). Next climb up to Studený Potok waterfall, Zbojnícka Chalet or Teryho Chalet, Sliezsky Dom or Skalnaté Pleso. You can pick several different paths.

5. Tatra Ice Dome

Traditionally there's a beautiful Hrebienok Ice Dome on December with spectacular ice sculptures!. In November 2018, 225 tons of ice were used in blocks of ice in households of the 1800s. It's one of the most outstanding pieces of work in Slovakia. We are all looking forward to seeing the snow come every winter! ATTENTION!!! We're not going to find heat wave in summer. December to April.

6. Lomnický štít

Who wouldn't want to see the largest island of our biggest island? You can see it here! Tourists can get to Lomnický štít by cable car from Tatranská Lomnica or get to the peaks by professional mountain guides. You can take an express cableway that will bring you to the highest part of Lomnický summit. Before you ascend the Gerlach peak, you can first attempt to climb to the Lomnický peak. It is not difficult to get to the mountain. At least, you can test your physical ability.

7. Kriváň,

Kriváň Mountain is a national icon of Slovakia. The Kriváň is the highest peak in Slovakia and the Carpathian mountains.

8. Praiano

It is the most traditional of all the Slovak mountains, where mass climbing is organized daily. Every Slovene should be an active tourist at least once. There is an excellent view of Tatras, Slovakia, or Poland, and the ride to Tri Studničky is not too overwhelming.

9. Rysy

This is a popular tourist attraction. Many of the tourists who would not climb to Rysy peak or take the lower path are now heading up the peak or taking the lower path. The last part of the trail from Rysy Cottage to Rysy peak is very steep. You've got to crawl all the way to the top. Being a major obstacle for many hikers.

10. Kôprovský štít

If you go to Rysy a lot of times, you will always be able to find the nearest Rysy station. You need to decide on the solution to solve the problem in the centre. The easiest way to get to Štrbské pleso is via Popradské pleso. There is the largest mountain lake at Veшké Hincovo pleso.
