It's a little understatement to say that Italy's Amalfi Coast is beautiful. With so many of the best things to do on the Amalfi Coast, you're going to be spoiled for choice, and you're going to have to give preference to when and how you really want to see. Perched south of Naples, the Amalfi Coast is a beautiful area to be explored in Italy and a spot to be enjoyed by everyone on their journey through Italy. There's just so much to see and do that doesn't just mean you're scared off the roads.

These colorful village houses, staggered by terraced cliffs, fragrant lemon groves, delicious fresh Italian food and turquoise waters, make this a dream spot. It's a series of different towns and villages, each of which has its own unique character and appeal, so you kind of need to find out a few things in advance of your journey.

Coach Charter Germany will be your party travel buddy when it comes to exploring the Amalfi Coast. Let the experts take care of you and book your tour bus with the driver on our website. We can sell long-distance coaches on a multi-day tour of the Amalfi Coast. You may also select an airport shuttle service for you and your group, e.g. Rome or Naples to the Amalfi Coast. A charter bus with a driver booked by our bus rental company would be the best option for a perfect stay on the Amalfi Coast.

Coach Charter Germany’s team wanted to show you some of the very best things to do in the Amalfi Coast:

1. Sorrento

Sorrento is the starting point (or the end) of the Amalfi Coast, and the Coach Charter Europe team thinks that's what makes it extremely famous, particularly during the summer. It's wonderful and one of the easiest and greatest things to do on the Amalfi Coast. There's a lot to do between the sun-drenched squares, the stunning hotels and the winding streets of the Old Town that smell of charm and make Sorrento, simply speaking, a lovely place to add to your European tour bucket list.

2. Atrani

If you need a breather from all the busier cities and towns, head over to the beautiful city of Atrani. It's one of the best spots on the Amalfi Coast to just hang out and relax. Even though it's relatively close to Amalfi (the city), the atmosphere here is totally different and much more relaxed. Now, if you're planning a visit, make sure you leave your car behind and explore Atrani on foot. If you're here, check out the medieval architecture, eat in one of the many trattorias, watch out at Piazza Umberto I, or just hang out at the tiny black sandy beach

3. Positano

Positano is the most important Amalfi Coast village with spectacular views and elegant pastel-coloured buildings. Yeah, the kind you saw in every iconic shot of the Amalfi coast. And if you don't, that's just what you're going to be painting the Amalfi Coast. With a beautiful sandy beach, busy seaside restaurants, even more busy nightlife and trendy boutiques, Positano is understandably a place to splurge a little and treat yourself!

4. Amalfi

A trip to the Amalfi Coast is not complete without an Amalfi stop. What was once a big trading hub is now a beautiful coastal town. Relax and enjoy some sunshine at the famous beach of Marina Grande or head to Santa Croce's tiny cove if Marina Grande beach is too busy for you. If it's not exactly what you're looking for here (or even after you've done soaking the sun), head over to the glorious 11th Century Cathedral of Sant'Andrea or spend the afternoon at the Chiostro del Paradiso.

5. Fiordo di Furore

If you want a quick escape from the maddening crowds, head to Fiordo di Furore, the only fjord in Italy. Normally, this highly shot beach is quiet and utterly beautiful.

6. Capri

Nice – it's not technically "The Amalfi Coast," but the glamorous (and hopefully romantic) island of Capri is a quick day trip from the Amalfi Coast and a must-see while you're in the area. Think of cascading bougainvillea, whitewashed buildings, turquoise seas, and breathtaking views all over the city. It's lovely here, and it's worth the ride. It's just one of the best things to do on the Amalfi Coast.

7. Ravello

Ravello is another spot on the Amalfi Coast that has long been a playground for the rich and famous, and it's easy to see why you've been there once. With breathtaking views from the Terrace of Infinity, the fascinating gardens of Villa Cimbrone and the wonderful atmosphere of Piazza del Vescovado, Ravello will easily find its way to the top of your favorite places to visit in Italy. If you're here during the summer, you'll need to attend the annual Ravello Music Festival in Villa Rufolo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

8. Praiano

Praiano is another tiny and more comfortable village on the Amalfi coast. Praiano, once renowned for its production of silk and for being the summer residence of the Amalfi dukes, is today a stunning resort town as well as a center for the arts. Travel to the rocky beach of La Gavitella and enjoy the stunning views from here. Also, spend some quiet time in the church of Parrocchia Di San Gennaro – it's amazing!

9. Minori

If you love pasta, Minori will love you! Formerly lined with pasta factories, Minori, also known as the City of Taste, is now a UNESCO site and a must-visit on the Amalfi coast. Something about its narrow alleys and old houses, particularly the 1st century Roman Villa, called the Convent of San Nicola (XI), will take you back in time. But going back to the pasta, the N'dunderi (dumplings made of ricotta) and the Scialatielli (fresh pasta ribbon) are lip-tasting delicacies that you absolutely have to try! Take the Delizie Al Limone for the dessert of the famous Sal De Riso pastry. It's a lovely spot and the best food things to do on the Amalfi Coast.

10.  Mayori

Maiori is an ancient town with a lot of character, so much so that Rossellini chose this city as the setting for four of his films. Think of ancient walls, ancient castles, and marvelous art-filled churches. Maiori is also where you can find the longest beach on the Amalfi Coast and some tasty seafood. If you're up for a shopping spot – souvenirs or something else, head to Corso Reginna, the main street full of fun, exclusive boutiques and shops.
