Here are our bus company’s top 10 places visiting Interlaken:
1. Harder Kulm
The view of Interlaken and the two lakes from the Harder is impressive. Under the bridge over the Aare River, next to the Harder Alpine Wildlife Reserve, the Harder-Kulm funicular climbs up the Harder at a 64 degree angle to an altitude of 1,322 metres. A chartered bus suggests a panoramic restaurant here in a medieval romantic style.
2. Schynige Platte
Wilderswil on the southern outskirts of Interlaken is the northern terminus of a 115-year-old rack railway which snakes into the Bernese Alps. Despite its age, the Schynige Platte Railway is still one of Switzerland's highest lines and it goes without saying that the views of peaks and mountain pastures are spectacular. Our bus company recommends visiting Alpine garden, with 650 flowering plants.
3. Lake Thun
In the west is Lake Thun, the color of which is deep blue and that catches the prevailing breeze. So no wonder windsurfers and sailors enjoy this lake, while in summer the shore is lined with swimming areas surrounded by woodland to attract you. A bus rental advises that this is a sight to be seen gradually, so catch a steamboat across the lake and spend some time in Thun.
4. St Beatus Caves
Right above the northeast of Lake Thun is a karst cave chain which got its name from Beatus, the Irish monk of the sixth century. He's claimed to have lived here, and when he moved in according to tradition a dragon was killed. The caves have a miles long walkway, impressive chambers where strange concretions, deep chasms and underwater cascades can be found. Chartered bus suggests visiting the restaurant in a loggia overlooking Lake Thun and the surrounding mountains.
This street and promenade is like the backbone of Interlaken which flows from Lake Brienz to Lake Thun, diagonally and parallel to the Aare. Continuing towards Unterseen, the left side of Höheweg remains unbuilt. A tour bus recommends visiting a line of flower gardens and parks such as Höhematte, which overlooks the Bernese Alps.
6. Weissenau Nature Reserve
On Lake Thun's east shore, just outside Unterseen, you'll find a moment of peace and quiet away from the shops for tourist trails and souvenirs. Nature Reserve Weissenau is a wetland with panoramic views of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. You can hire a coach in our bus company and feel free to enjoy a ride to this famous park.
7. Funky Chocolate Club
The Funky Chocolate Club offers a special and tasty experience filled with chocolate for a respite from all the outdoor activity. They not only sell hot chocolate but also chocolate fondue and customers can treat their own chocolate.
8. Alpine Dairy
Wake up bright and early and take a tour of an authentic alpine dairy along the winding Beatenberg mountain road. A bus rental must remind tours are only provided in the morning, beginning at 07:15. You will set out for a brisk walk in the pasture before meeting the "dairyman," to see the herd with a guide. He will take you behind the scenes of a real Emmental dairy and the cheese made here will be waiting for you at the table for a typical breakfast at the end of the tour.
9. Panoramabrücke Sigriswil
The new panoramic footbridge at Lake Thun above is part of a plan intended to make the lakeshore even more accessible to pedestrians. It rises 180 meters above the Gummi Gorge, and is 330 meters long. Chartered bus will guarantee you will never tire of the view over the deep blue of Lake Thun from the Bernese Alps
